Mar 19, 2020 Does Microsoft have a library of fonts to download for the Mac OS? I recently installed Office for Mac and found that the I don't have all the same fonts as I did on the PC. Does Microsoft have a list of fonts to download that might also include the font that I need? (In Mac OS X, font suitcases look and behave like other font files. You can't open them by double-clicking the file as you can in Mac OS 9.) System Folder/Fonts, to access the font in applications running in Mac OS X and applications running in Classic mode (Mac OS 9) Library/Fonts, to access the font in all applications by all users in Mac OS X.
Double-click the font in the Finder, then click Install Font in the font preview window that opens. After your Mac validates the font and opens the Font Book app, the font is installed and available for use.
You can use Font Book preferences to set the default install location, which determines whether the fonts you add are available to other user accounts on your Mac.
Fonts that appear dimmed in Font Book are either disabled ('Off'), or are additional fonts available for download from Apple. To download the font, select it and choose Edit > Download.
Disable fonts
You can disable any font that isn't required by your Mac. Select the font in Font Book, then choose Edit > Disable. The font remains installed, but no longer appears in the font menus of your apps. Fonts that are disabled show ”Off” next to the font name in Font Book.
Remove fonts
You can remove any font that isn't required by your Mac. Select the font in Font Book, then choose File > Remove. Font Book moves the font to the Trash.

You can restore the fonts that were originally included with your Mac. This may be useful if you’re having issues with Font Book. Restoring the standard fonts moves any fonts you’ve installed into a separate folder, which makes them unavailable to use in apps.
In the Font Book app on your Mac, choose File > Restore Standard Fonts.
Mac spell check library for free. Any fonts you’ve installed are placed in /Library/Fonts (Removed) or in ~/Library/Fonts (Removed). To install those fonts again, just reinstall them.
